Pan-pipes
in
early
and
classical music
Organ
World-wide embracing instrument,
walking along with mankind since
its origins, on all continents, the
Pan-pipes, mostly structured by
puting together bamboo canes,
are somehow akin to the organ.
To associate both instruments,
which are somehow cousins, in a
program of music from the
XVIth to the XVIIIth century,
shored up the remendous thought,
drawing to your attention.

the “Symphonies pour les Soupers du Roy” by
Michel-Richard Delalande, recorded during our
concert at the Rodez Cathedral on July 25, 2012.
